Since the 1990s, two main changes have greatly affected air travel – the introduction of low-cost airlines and the ability to purchase tickets online. These innovations have lowered the cost of plane tickets which is great for consumers, but terrible for the businesses which just couldn’t keep up and were forced to shut down.
JetRadar is striving to continue this innovation with the goal of making affordable air travel even cheaper. When searching for the lowest plane ticket prices, consumers usually go straight to Expedia, CheapFlights or Orbitz because they think that’s where they will find the best deals.
However, if consumers cut out the middle man and go straight to the airline’s website they can find much better offers and save so much more. It makes sense when you think about it – the airlines don’t want to lose customers to other airlines, so they only offer the cheapest rates through their websites, not price comparison websites where consumers could get distracted by a rival company.
In an effort to ensure that consumers get the best fares available without having to personally scour through each and every airline website, JetRadar searches through 35 travel agencies and 728 airlines for the best deals and publishes them online.
The founders of JetRadar are already looking towards the future and have great plans for expansion. The company’s unique concept was originally tested across various small regional markets – such as in Russia operating under the name AviaSales.Ru – with huge success and JetRadar becoming the dominant cheap airfare retailer in several countries. Due to this, JetRadar will be opening new offices across Thailand and Hong Kong, in addition to creating a central portal accessible worldwide as part of its operation to become the cheapest airfare provider of 2012.
If JetRadar succeeds in its mission, buying cheap airline tickets online is about to get a lot easier.
